For general information on the Glasgow Film Club, see below.

The Glasgow Film Club is the UK’s first Youth film club. It is part of the European Film Club, an initiative of the European Film Academy to connect young audiences (under 19) with European film. The GFC provides multiple education programmes throughout the year and during the annual festival in November.

It is also working to create a resource platform for schools, universities and organisations to help support integration of cinema in the curriculum at various stages of education.

Current partners include the European Film Academy, CORRA Foundation, Film Hub Scotland, BFI FAN, the Female Film Club, and Stage 32. The Glasgow Film Club creates a platform where students are able to access interactive film education workshops, masterclasses and screenings of short / feature films, animation and documentaries, along with talks, seminars and creative content, that can be used both in a school environment and at home, to further their knowledge on world cinema and the art of film.
